SMART GREEN WATER
Transnational Mapping: Entities Supporting the Digitalization of Irrigation
Smart Green Water is a territorial cooperation project funded by the European Interreg SUDOE programme (covering Portugal, Spain, and southwest France). Developed between 2024 and 2026, the main objective of the Smart Green Water project is to accelerate the digitalization of irrigation to promote water savings and increase agricultural productivity. To achieve this, supporting irrigators in transforming their practices is essential.
This map presents the public or semi-public structures available to farmers to assist them in the digitalization of their irrigation systems. The covered territory matches the regions included in the Smart Green Water project: Alentejo (Portugal), Andalusia, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Extremadura, and Murcia (Spain), Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie (France).
